DETECTING LIES

Am I being lied to?

He's absent. She's always late. He says one thing one day, then means another later. She says she loves me, but doesn't.

How do I know if my boyfriend/girlfriend is lying to me? We've always gotten along so well, and now I sometimes feel like I'm dating a stranger. Did I do something wrong? How can I tell if I'm being lied to?

THE LIAR

What does a liar look like?

A liar twitches their mouthpiece, stutters, sweats, and contradicts themselves. A better liar is quiet and taciturn—or noticeably talkative. When someone lies, they usually do something out of character—out of excitement or stress. But liars can also pull off a lie without being recognized.

A lie test examines a different level. The body is analyzed. Not the stress on the face, but, for example, the change in heart rate. Not even the best liars can control their own bodies down to the smallest detail.

Lie test: simple, quick

The liars think they are smart, but there is a trick to reveal even the most confident liar

Hiding the truth is a tricky business, since the person being lied to will sooner or later realize that something is wrong. Some liars can be identified by conspicuous facial expressions or gestures, while others are such good at concealing something that only an objective machine, a special lie detector, can defeat them.

EASY TO USE

How does the polygraph work?

The lie detector is used via a USB connection to your PC/laptop. The devices are placed on the person being interviewed and measure breathing, pulse, and skin resistance. This information is fed to the lie detector software, which determines the interviewee's stress level. The evaluated results are then presented graphically on a polygraph.

According to tests, the truth can be determined with a probability of 80–99%. While expert knowledge is not required for use, it is recommended to contact an experienced polygraph examiner to correctly interpret the graphical representation of the results.

Tips for the lie test

If there is a lack of reliability, honesty and straightforwardness

A polygraph test should be conducted in a calm atmosphere, and the person being interviewed must consent to the procedure. The questions asked should not be disruptive or overly provocative, but straightforward and reasonable. For a successful test, it is recommended to consult with an expert beforehand.
